Strip Drains Save Money By Replacing Gravel
Horizontal strip drains provide an outlet for the water to drain without creating backpressure to the wick drains; they are a critical component of the wick drain system. The gravel or sand drainage blanket has been replaced by a geosynthetic strip drain on many projects for the simplest reason - cost savings. In addition to saving money, the fabricated drain provides the design engineer with a more controllable drainage system, eliminating the uncertainties of how contaminants affect the drainage properties of sand or gravel.
Strip Drain Installation Instructions
